#75soft challenge

This isn’t a fat loss challenge. It isn’t a fitness challenge either.

This is a mental toughness challenge.

This is a challenge to become a better version of yourself.

Initially I made it for myself back in 2019 inspired by the popular 75hard challenge. Back then I wanted a challenge to kick myself back in gear with better habits as I felt myself slipping away putting health/fitness on the back burner. 75hard wasn’t realistic at that moment in time for me, but I still wanted something to pull me back into the right direction, and so #75soft was born.

Initially I was just documenting my journey, but so many requested to join in that it become a public challenge. So here it is.

The rules are simple, you have a list of things to complete every single day for 75 days. The hard version makes zero exceptions for off days, but with the soft version there will be a few exceptions.

If the day is some sort of celebration (xmas, new years, weddings, birthdays etc.), you get to enjoy one free meal during that day. Meaning you gotta stick to the challenge for the rest of the day, but for one meal you’re free to celebrate and have fun. Part of the goal of #75soft is to weave in elements of life as well, as whether you’re on a challenge or not life is still going on in the background and it’s important to include it rather than avoid it.


Every day for 75 days…

  • Follow a diet

  • Workout 2 times for at least 20min each

  • Drink 3L of water

  • Read 10 pages of any non-fiction book, audiobooks count

  • Take a progress pic


Follow a diet. Could be any diet of your choosing. Think about it thoroughly and you have to stick to it for 75 days. No changes during the challenge. Make all of your decisions on the type of diet you want to follow before you start.

2 Workouts daily. Any workouts count, doesn’t have to be specifically weight lifting or cardio. Dance, sports, aerobics classes count too. You can do it back to back as well.

Drink 3L of water. Spread it out throughout the day. Don’t drink it in one sitting

This challenge isn’t suppose to be sustainable. It’s a challenge to push you to your limits. To show you what you’re capable of. It’s the essence of being consistent and patient. You’ll definitely be making fat loss & muscle gain progress during these 75 days but that’s not the main point. The goal is to show you what you’re capable of so after the 75 days you can create a plan that you can sustain for the long term to continuously make progress towards your goals year to year.
